Final Red Bulls 1 - Sounders 0

Finally, the streak is now over. The 29 winless streak on the road for the Red Bulls is history. The New York Red Bulls had defeated the Seattle Sounders by the score of 1-0. The lone goal was scored by Mac Kandji in the 21st minute. There was an argument between Mike Petke and Freddie Ljungberg after a play in the early parts of the game, but they were talking and laughing with each other in a proper fashion. Overall, my expectations of the red Bulls were corrected. I had predicted a win but had missed a bit on the score. Red Bulls head coach Hans Backe was out for the game because of stomach problems and had went to a hospital and there was nothing serious, so the assistant coach Richie Williams had taken over for the sick coach.

Goalkeeping for the Red Bulls was very decent and surprisingly kept the Sounders from scoring. I believe the defense of the Red Bulls was fantastic with protecting the corners. The Red Bulls missed some key moments that could've made the game maybe 2-0 at least. I was very impressed about how the Red Bulls had played and showed the Sounders and the MLS that the Red Bulls are for real. One of my friends who went out for the Seattle game has some pictures of the match and a video and I will post it on my blog ASAP. Until then, it's Jersey Chris signing off ( a famous saying by Big Viper. He has blog website, http://www.thevipersnest.com/. Check it out now!)
